The Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program represents the cornerstone of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) efforts to advance the quality of health care for Medicare beneficiaries. In order to broaden awareness of this national program and provide transparent information about its work, CMS is proud to announce the launch of the QIO Program’s new website – QIOProgram.org.
As the “virtual front door” for the QIO Program, QIOProgram.org is a comprehensive source of information on an easily navigable site. Content includes information about current initiatives, an explanation of how QIOs collaborate and success stories, among other features.
QIOProgram.org is designed for all health care stakeholders, patients and caregivers, health care and community partners, the media and the general public. In addition to covering QIO Program priorities, the website provides links to helpful resources, including industry news and information for patients and caregivers. QIO News, the Program’s e-newsletter, is also accessible via the site.
QIOProgram.org will help us broaden awareness about the QIO Program and its efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of care for Medicare beneficiaries. We encourage you to visit the site regularly, share it with your colleagues and provide us with your feedback.
