Eight CMS Takeaways Gleaned from LEAN

In support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) commitment to building and implementing a culture of learning and continuous improvement, several staff members from CMS’ Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ) recently attended LEAN training at the ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value. CCSQ is in the process of adopting LEAN practices and encourages all quality improvement organizations, health care providers and other stakeholders to learn more about LEAN and how it contributes to a culture of continuous improvement in health care.
