The Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program will hold the next Medication Safety Learning & Action Network (LAN) event on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. ET.
This free online training, titled “Psychologically-Integrated Approaches to Pain Management,” will address the challenges related to pain management and opioid use.
Attendees will hear from Dr. Amy Wachholtz from the University of Colorado – Denver who will discuss the four major pain management areas, as well as Mitzi Daffron from atom Alliance, the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee. Daffron will provide an overview of a QIN-QIO Special Innovation Project happening at the community level to engage a local hospital, practitioners and patients to reduce inappropriate opioid prescribing.
The January Medication Safety LAN event is open to all Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIOs), providers, partners and beneficiaries.
