The Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program will hold the next Medication Safety Learning & Action Network (LAN) event on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. ET.
This free online training, titled “Psychologically-Integrated Approaches to Pain Management,” will address the challenges related to pain management and opioid use.
Attendees will hear from Dr. Amy Wachholtz from the University of Colorado–Denver who will discuss the four major pain management areas, as well as Mitzi Daffron from atom Alliance, the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee. Daffron will provide an overview of a QIN-QIO Special Innovation Project happening at the community level to engage a local hospital, practitioners and patients to reduce inappropriate opioid prescribing.
The January Medication Safety LAN event is open to all Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIOs), providers, partners and beneficiaries.
