2014 Quality Net Conference — Moving From Vision to Reality

In December 2014, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) gathered health care quality improvement stakeholders from across the country at QualityNet: the CMS Healthcare Quality Conference. Just over 1,250 attendees participated in engaging, interactive sessions to share ideas and best practices for addressing some of America’s biggest health care quality challenges. In an effort to document and share lessons learned from the conference, this issue of QIO News contains recaps and major takeaways from several of the plenary sessions, Master Classes and breakout sessions. As 2015 begins, there is a lot to celebrate within the quality improvement community and much more work to be done. We hope that this issue sheds light on and provides guidance for your own organization on how to move your quality improvement vision to reality.
