Late Adopter Data Report - 2021Q4

This data report, developed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), is specific to the progress of late adopters in Quarter 4 of 2021 as part of the National Partnership to Improve Dementia Care in Nursing Homes. It was updated on July 29, 2022. Nursing homes were identified as late adopters based upon 2017Q1 data. These nursing homes continued to have high rates of antipsychotic medication use, showing very little change or increased rates from 2011Q4 to 2017Q1, and remaining above the 2017Q1 national average.
