Electronic Vaccination Tracking Log

This resource, developed by Great Plains Quality Innovation Network, was created as a “Quick Review” for Minimum Data Set staff and/or infection preventionist to access residents and their vaccination status for influenza, pneumococcal and COVID-19. The tool includes sections (tabs) for several years (2021 -2024) and also a cumulative ‘At A Glance’ tab which offers a yearly graphing feature for vaccinations given. The resource section also includes booster recommendations and updates.

Data CalloutHealth Services Advisory Group (HSAG), a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Innovation Network–Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) helped more than 634 nursing homes in its two-state region improve the accuracy of their COVID-19 vaccine data in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).

Superior Health’s Shine a Light on Stigma Campaign Highlights the Importance of Person-Centered Language to Improve Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Health care professionals have made great strides to improve treatment for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). These include developing screening tools and implementing workflows to identify patients who need treatment. Other strategies include increasing the availability of treatment, adding recovery coaches and creating peer support groups to help guide patients to this care. Despite these improvements, only 1 in 10 people with SUD receives treatment.

In January 2022, a nursing home that had previously received technical assistance from Superior Health Quality Alliance (Superior Health) to improve nursing home resident COVID-19 initial vaccination series rates was referred again to Superior Health for assistance with improving its resident COVID-19 booster rate.
