Official NQIIC outreach materials require publication numbers and disclaimers. Outreach materials are products (electronic or hard copy) that will be distributed outside NQIIC to any audience, including health professionals, stakeholders, information intermediaries, Medicare beneficiaries and media organizations or their representatives. Outreach materials include, but are not limited to, newsletters, fact sheets, brochures, pamphlets, posters, audiovisual materials, meeting/conference presentations and handouts and promotional materials. A unique publication number should be used for each resource. If minor edits are made to an existing resource and the overall message is the same, a new publication number is not necessary. However, if significant edits are made that change the overall message, a new publication number should be used. Please continue to abide by CMS external review guidelines.
