Healthy Equity Guide Helps Organizations and Healthcare Providers Address Inequities in Care
Addressing disparities can be complex, multidimensional and individually based. While each community has its unique challenges, it is important for organizations and health care providers to address inequities as part of their care delivery to ensure high-quality, equitable care. To support these efforts, Health Quality Innovators (HQI) created the Health Equity Guide for community-based organizations and healthcare providers across all care settings. This guide offers an overview of health equity, the importance of evaluating disparities that impact health outcomes and five necessary steps to start a quality improvement project focused on reducing inequities.
