The FY2023 IPPS/LTCH final rule requires hospitals participating in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting Program to report on two new measures: Screening for Social Drivers of Health and Screen Positive Rate for Social Drivers of Health in CY2024. In response, Health Quality Innovators (HQI) created a Quick Start Guide, which contains resources and instructions on how to meet these new requirements by incorporating social determinants of health documentation and interventions into routine care.
