In light of the unprecedented effect the COVID-19 pandemic has had across the nation and in recognizing the unique challenges facing rural and critical access hospitals (CAHs), the Compass Hospital Quality Improvement Contractor Network team identified hospital successes related to COVID-19 response in Iowa, South Dakota, Mississippi and Kansas. The first in a series on COVID-19 response, Innovations from the Field, follows nine rural hospitals and highlights some of their successes, lessons learned and innovations big and small.
