Driving Clinical Excellence Learning Series Part Two

Part two of this learning series, produced by Comagine Health, promotes a standardized approach to prioritizing identified improvement opportunities using the Prioritization Worksheet for Performance Improvement Projects. Participants are guided in using this information to develop and communicate a message about the need for change with staff to create a shared vision for improvement. Discussion questions are posed to focus on the standardized prioritization approach. Content briefly addresses Identifying and engaging change champions.

  • Learning Session 2: Creating a Compelling Case for Change In this session, users will:
    • Identify two to four key change champions in your organization
    • Develop a compelling case for change that engages your team in a shared vision
    • Identify one action to prime staff for change
  • Mastery Session 2A: Increasing Efficiency In this session, users will:
    • Identify two strategies to increase efficiency through alignment of organizational, team, and individual goals
    • Describe at least one method to assess employee engagement for supporting quality improvement efforts to improve sustainability
    • Verbalize how quality improvement efforts for clinical care were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Mastery Session 2B: Driving Clinical Excellence During Unstable Times. In this session, users will:
    • Identify one or two actions to build staff capability for change
    • Identify one or two actions to increase staff investment in organizational mission and keeping joy in work
    • Verbalize special considerations you made during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic to engage staff in adapting to required changes
