The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) “Medicare & You” handbook is mailed to all Medicare households each fall. It includes a summary of Medicare benefits, rights, and protections; lists of available health and drug plans; and answers to frequently asked questions about Medicare.

The Eastern U.S. Quality Improvement Collaborative (HANYS Hospital Quality Improvement Contractor) developed a syllabus for its ROADE Work series, a comprehensive and strategic approach in the opioid adverse drug event initiative. The opioid programming is concentrated into a “sprint,” using rapid-cycle change principles in order to see a large impact in a short amount of time.

This video, produced by IPRO QIN-QIO, was developed for all care settings to share best practices for opioid use and pain management. Featuring Kara Harrer, PharmD, director of pharmacy at Calvert Health in Maryland, viewers will learn how Calvert Health implemented a program to promote the safe use of opioids.
