Choice Of Measures For Optimal Relief of Trauma/Pain (COMFORT) Menu

Comagine Health developed the Choice Of Measures For Optimal Relief of Trauma/Pain (COMFORT) menu to provide a method to help manage long-term care facility residents’ pain, allowing options to be incorporated into their day-to-day decisions to help make them comfortable. The COMFORT menu uses alternative options to attempt pain management before taking a prescribed medication.  Although pain may not go away entirely, the goal is to be able to participate in activities and have pain be at a tolerable level. The menu puts options back into the residents’ hands to help with alternative measures for pain management.
