Diagnosis and Assessment of Urinary Tract Infections

The presentation, presented by Great Plains Quality Innovation Network, offers an informative session on the different types of urinary tract infections (UTIs). The presenter will provide knowledge on risk factors, symptoms and the criteria for diagnosis of UTIs. Interpretation of the results from a urinalysis and urine culture will be discussed, as well as treatment options for each type of UTI. Lastly, there will be examples of how facilities can implement antimicrobial stewardship UTI initiatives into practice.
