This four-part series, provided by Superior Health Quality Alliance, is an introduction to Emergency Preparedness Exercise Design and Evaluation and intended to give the audience an understanding of key definitions and the steps needed to create, conduct and evaluate an exercise that will meet the exercise requirements for CMS regulated organizations. The intended audience is nursing home administrators, directors of nursing and other staff involved in emergency planning. This series:
- Describe the purpose and goal of emergency preparedness exercises
- Discuss the key elements of exercise design
- Identify the key roles required for conducting a successful exercise
- Describe how to effectively evaluate the exercise and develop plans to address opportunities for improvement.
