What started as a small collection of infection prevention reference cards for frontline healthcare staff has blossomed into a series of nearly 20 different pocket cards. Each double-sided card can be downloaded, printed, laminated and cut to distribute to facility staff. The cards, many of which can be used across care settings, feature bite-sized reference information on topics including, but not limited to: enhanced barrier precautions, personal protective equipment, cleaning and disinfection, hand hygiene, transmission-based precautions, standard precautions, CAUTI prevention, CLABSI prevention, personal care and infectious diarrhea. Most of the cards include QR codes that offer additional information right at staff’s fingertips. The cleaning and disinfection pocket card is customizable, featuring a section for facilities to list their disinfectant products and contact/wet/kill time.
