The Eastern U.S. Quality Improvement Collaborative (HANYS Hospital Quality Improvement Contractor) developed a syllabus for its ROADE Work series, a comprehensive and strategic approach in the opioid adverse drug event initiative. The opioid programming is concentrated into a “sprint,” using rapid-cycle change principles in order to see a large impact in a short amount of time.

This poster was developed by the TMF Quality Innovation Network, the Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) for Arkansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Texas and the U.S. Virgin Islands, in English and Spanish. It illustrates how diabetes medicines work within the body. Health care providers can use this poster to share information about medications with their patients who have diabetes.

It describes the Opioid Prescriber Safety and Support (OPSS) initiative and how data is used in the initiative to make care safer for people with Medicare.
